This country needs to produce the top performing academics and professionals to remain economically competitive on the global scale. This tax plan will price out graduate students from pursing advanced degrees to lead the way of new technologies and innovations. If graduate students are unable to afford their education and are unable to support their basic needs, they will no longer pursue advanced education. This bill will provide long run consequences by losing AMERICAN talent, and giving the economic competitive edge to foreign countries. This plan will be detrimental to AMERICAN society and economic longevity.

It's a huge mistake to cut the grad stipend, which hugely discourages those talented students all over the world from doing research in US.
