We are fortunate to live in a Commonwealth where we can have faith in the electoral process. We know that our vote counts. As Governor, we are counting on you to make sure that that remains the case. As U.S. citizens we must also make sure that all votes count across all 50 states and so we cannot accept an outcome where that is not the case.

Dear Governor Baker:
Massachusetts has a good record of having smooth elections that make it easy for citizens to vote. Please ensure that in the Nov. 3 election all votes are counted, that intimidation of voters at polls is prevented or stopped, the outcome of the vote is honored as accurate, and urge other Republican governors to do the same. Thank you.

Massachusetts law determines what ballots are valid and must be counted, not Federal law or partisan lawyers brought in from outside. This is about protecting our Commonwealth's sovereignty.

Thank you, Governor Baker - for governing with civility and modeling when we all must come together to stand up for the principles we were founded on. This is another of those times.

Why this should be an issue at all is beyond me. Voter suppression and tampering poison our democracy. I am furious when I contemplate the dirty tricks employed by members of the Republican Party to limit participation. They must not be allowed to pervert our society with their contemptible antics..

Our democracy is premised on an unimpeded voting process. Why this needs to be fought for is beyond me but there it is. Voter suppression is poison.

Historically, elections were not known on the day/night of the election. In wasn't until relatively recently that exit polls and analysis were used to "project a winner" . It is imperative that we respect the election process and make sure votes are counted!
