This coming election brings with it fear and uncertainty around whether its results will be considered legitimate, and whether all votes will be counted. The following is an open letter 350 Mass is sending to Governor Charlie Baker, urging him to commit to election norms. Add your name by signing the petition!
Dear Governor Baker:
As your constituents, we rely on you to uphold the Constitution.
We ask that you:
- state publicly that you will not accept the election results until all votes are counted or a clear winner emerges,
- will do everything in your power to ensure that all electoral voters stay faithful to the state's popular vote,
- honor the collective will of the American people, regardless of the outcome,
- speak out loudly against any efforts by anyone to disenfranchise voters,
- urge other governors to do the same.

We are a deep blue state that elected and SUPPORTS a Republican governor. Please support us by commuting to allow every last Massachusetts vote be counted for the 2020 election. That’s how it works!
Historically, elections were not known on the day/night of the election. In wasn't until relatively recently that exit polls and analysis were used to "project a winner" . It is imperative that we respect the election process and make sure votes are counted!
Dear Governor baker; as a center republican with a powerful influence you have a strong voice in speaking out to your republican colleagues in the federal government. Please urge them to protect our democracy and the constitution by honoring the asks in the letter! Thank you!
Dear Governor - Please use your influence to urge other governors to committ to count every vote and take action against voter disenfranchisement in their states, to ensure the integrity of elections and the democratic process.
I strongly hope you will do this. I do not want to see Massachusetts contributing at all to any chaos that could follow this election. Nor do I want to see the *intent* of our Constitution breached.
My money should not be going towards the oppression and murder of indigenous and marginalized citizens.
