We the residents of Tour 18 Estates, Flower Mound Texas, have signed this petition to ensure that Centurion American, (Montalcino Estates) follows through on an ordinance, passed by the Flower Mound, City Council on August 21, 2023.

The ordinance directs the developers of Montalcino Estates to build a security fence, and maintain a 50’ landscape buffer that requires the structures to be set back a minimum of 50’ from the Tour 18 property line.

The security fence should be constructed across the rear of the properties in Tour 18 to include the following addresses: 6204 Sawgrass Court, Baltusrol Drive: 8600, 8604,8608, 8700, 8704, 8708, 8800, 8804, 8900, 8904, (fencing should be continuous except for the drainage area between 8708 Baltusrol, and 8800 Baltusrol Dr.)

The fencing should be made of iron, minimum 72” tall, not wooden, and should maintain the continuity of design found in the existing fencing within Tour 18 Estates.

For security reasons, we are requesting that these actions happen at time of approval for the construction of the new road, that will be built first, before home construction begins.

ACTION: Councilmember Adam Schiestel moved to approve item K.6 as presented, with the additional requirement for new or replacement iron fencing between existing homes and new homes as requested by the existing property owner, and a 50-foot landscape buffer along the rear of lots 61, and 64 -74. Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Ann Martin seconded the motion.
