Filled many a costumer complaint card over the past 30 years regarding the lines in Guerneville Safeway. 5-10 people in line at ANY time during the day. The checkers are great, but something has to be done about scheduling. I try to shop as much as I can when in Santa Rosa at Trader Joe's or G & G.

Our town has changed quite a bit over the last thirty years, and the staffing of our local Safeway should reflect this change. Please do not continue to categorize this store as "seasonal." We need a fully staffed store throughout the year.

I bet if we coordinated a one day strike the company would sit up and listen, especially if it was near holiday time.

I will travel 20 miles to Santa Rosa to avoid shopping in Guerneville. The lines are long, clerks disgruntled, and management lacking.

I HATE waiting in line more than five minutes. Time is too precious to me. And I've stood in many long lines at Guerneville Safeway complaining the entire time. Angry and frustrated. Not at the clerks. They're always friendly and helpful. But at management for wasting my time. My wife works in Sebastopol, and I run errands in on the 101 corridor, so shopping at one of the many other choices in that area is easy for both of us. We NEVER do our major shopping in Guerneville because of this wait problem, though we'd rather shop there, all things being equal. Which they're NOT! It's interesting to me to read the history of complaints from others with no tangible change. I'll be there are many who live on the River with jobs on the corridor who do the same as Barbara and me.

We are not seasonal. There is a large, irritated, year-round community here. Personally, I'd rather take the extra time to drive to Raley's or G & G than shop at this Safeway. I shop here when I haven't got the time to do anything else. I tend to save up a large list and then take it to where the selection and prices are better.

For every person who signs a petition theere are another 25 or 30 just as pissed off but who can't be bothered doing anything about it. Giving bad service is about the best way I know of to open the door to competition. Keep up the 'good' work guys.
