The biological effects of microwaves on the human body are potentially very worrying and therefore youngsters should be protected from them - even if only as a precaution against possible harm.

To have put this telephone mast so close to a space used by the public and especially children, without proper consultation is inconsiderate and reckless bearing in my mind that we have doubts about the health of people who live or work in close proximity to them.

I think that never should be installed close to a school, having the knowledge of the healthy problems that can be caused to or children.

The planning consultation appears to have been limited to say the least. Some residents close by were not made aware of the plans or given the opportunity to comment. I am amazed that TWBC agreed to the siting of the mast right next to a school. Whilst there may not yet be direct correlation between mobile phone masts and ill health, the long term effects are just not known.

I object to this mast being erected without proper consultation with the school. We are Hawkhurst residents who would benefit from an improved mobile signal, nevertheless the risks associated with the position of this mast are evident and should immediately prompt a review of the decision to place the mast in a position so close to MHS school, breaching health guidelines.
There is strong evidence to suggest that potential long term health/cancer risks exist and this mast places an unnecessary risk of this occurring in the children and staff attending the school. This mast should be repositioned in line with health guidelines.

Given the evidence relating to impact on children of wireless technology I think it shameful the mast was erected with little notice given the school. Of course we would campaign against it!

With all the documented information across the world regarding these masts and their affects, especially on children, it is appalling that VF and this council would even contemplate erecting one next to a school with an age range of 2 to 13 years. I am further appalled that this application was snuck through without asking or informing the parents of this school. An utter reckless disgrace. Take it down immediately, these are our children and you do not have the right to expose them to danger, as a council and respectable business you should be protecting them.

I'm very worried about the potential impact upon my children's health and that of other pupils. It's hard to understand how this can have happened without our knowledge, given that our children attend the school. Had I had an opportunity to object to the planning application, I would have done so.

This is absolutely disgraceful - the health of our children is of paramount importance and the risks involved in the close proximity of these mobile phone masts are very high.

They are our kids, our future, and our responsibility! Why would anyone contemplate putting them at risk?!?!?
