Anxiety is an increasingly serious symptom in the patients I have had in treatment. Setting up telehealth services is time-consuming. Parity is needed!

I am a therapist working to help those around me struggling with this situation. It is completely absurd and disappointing that despite our continued efforts and same Costs at doing our business we are being told that our pay will decrease. How does this make sense? Without us helping those around us to stay stable, insurance would be paying a higher rate for all those who would need higher levels of care and worsening of symptoms Requiring more appointments later. No one should have to work for less money because of being able to help still during this pandemic.

Governor Lamont, Please mandate commercial insurance companies in CT to reimburse psychologists for telemedicine at the same rate as for individual sessions just as Governor Baker of Massachusetts has. Thank you for supporting our patients during this crisis.

My brain is doing the same work whether it's several feet or several miles away from my patient. Distance is irrelevant.

People are in desperate need of mental health services. There is lots of confusion and inconsistency in what insurance companies will cover and billing.

Dear Governor Lamont - Thank you so much for all that you are doing for CT residents and businesses! I am a clinical social worker in private practice specializing in anxiety and eating disorders and feel it is critical that I continue to provide needed treatment to my patients at this time. Please consider urging Anthem Blue Cross and other insurance companies in our state to assure their providers that reimbursement for Telehealth services will be equal to in-office visits. This is both important to provide needed services and keep folks out of hospitals and for small business owners in private practice to be reimbursed for services they provide to their community. Thank you!

Please stand up to the insurers who are not valuing the service we provide in these challenging times.

Some insurers promptly announced this necessary and intuitive measure that is good for clients and clinicians alike. An Executive Order will bring along the rest of the insurers and hopefully ensure compliance at this great time of need for so many.

It is imperative for all insurance companies to have comparable reimbursement rates for telehealth in order for therapists to provide continuity of care during this unprecedented global health crisis. We cannot further deplete the resources for ANY of our health care workers!

I agreed we should be receiving the same rates for telehealth as in office sessions during this time!

Telehealth reimbursement rate is significantly lower, almost cutting my income in half. I am still doing the same work, but in a time when everyone is very heightened and in need of increased support.
