Telehealth Reimbursement during Coronavirus

It only makes sense, if they do the work and the business stays solvent, pay them, don't penalize them for something out of their control.

I am a healthcare provider and have colleagues that are therapists and I am witness to their dedication and professionalism when working with people regardless of its in person or online. It makes no sense to penalize them for working online when they and their clients have no other choice.

Please consider implementing this. We must continue our overhead, while paying for telemedicine and receiving fewer referrals, all while being reimbursed much less. We are drowning, but it's the only way we can deliver safe quality care to our patients during this pandemic.

Insurers are gouging mental health providers when they decrease the reimbursement for Telehealth visits. This rate disparity needs to be illegal.

Im a psych aprn in private practice- we are struggling to stay afloat with fewer referrals and added costs of HIPAA compliant telehealth server. We are doing the same if not more work and deserve equal reimbursement for office visits.

I am a LCSW and working hard to help my clients. I still have to pay rent, renter's insurance, and a higher electric bill because I am working from home.

Help those that are the helpers to our vulnerable.

We need mental health treatment now more than ever and we need to value mental health providers more.

As professional clinicians, we always strive to provide the best service possible. When our services must be provided through new means, such as Telehealth, they should ABSOLUTELY be reimbursed at the same rate as standard procedures, especially if the only alternative is the provision of no services to the patient.

We, as clinicians have been working diligently to provide adequate service to out clients. Due to the Coronavirus, we have been holding sessions via telegraph. I feel that the clients are benefitting from this type of therapy just as much as if it was a face-to-face session. As such, the payment from the insurance company should not be any less than if the session was held face-to-face.

Please reimburse mental health patients for treatment during the Coronavirus outbreak.

This needs to be implemented.

The education & expertise honed by the clinician is applied equally whether it be conducted in an office or via technology. Unequal reimbursement devalues both the clinician & the patient.
