The council finally agreed to put Muse on the town signs. A huge victory for all 181 of us who refused to back down. Now we watch to ensure they actually follow through.
Last year, councillor David Cox has made a proposal to the town saying that Muse should be on road signs, as the band was formed there when Matthew, Dominic and Christopher were teenagers. The proposal was rejected for a dark and lame reason(it seems that Muse is the name of a treatment for a shameful disease) and it seems that the city is not proud of them, where they should be. Few weeks ago, Matt even told Kerrang! that he thought their act, not "clean" enough, was responsible of this, and even said that it would be meaningful for them. With as much signatures and fans as possible, was can change it, and make the things move. Teignmouth must honour Muse, as they brought it their fame and loads of fans are coming around just for that reason. Approaching Showbiz's 10th anniversary, it's the perfect time to make the mayor and the whole council realise that Muse is a massive plus for city.
The momentum is undeniable now. It is time for the council to stop hiding from our musical history.

Ridiculous decision. They are one of the biggest bands in the world and they literally come from Teignmouth. Show some pride for once!

Typical bureaucracy ruining things. Support local talent. It is not that hard.

Honestly who cares about the other meaning? Nobody thinks about that. Just put the signs up already.

such a shame. they should be proud of the boys making it big instead of acting all stuck up about it.
