This position is critically important in all schools educating 21st Century learners, and I believe SES is a brilliant place to start for the reasons aforementioned in this petition.

This position is a must at SES. The children definitely need someone to teach them about technology so they won't fall in a technical gap.

Danielle has established an amazing classroom, is available for any questions, helps staff at all times, and continues to support each and every student at SES. With the thought of Chromebooks rolling out next year for 3rd and 4th graders in the building, she would be a great asset to be full time and a certified teacher in this position. She continues to go above and beyond with enhancing every group she is involved in QACPS. Continuing to learn more about computer guru stuff to help staff and students is just a few things Danielle has done for us here at SES. K

This should most definitely be a teaching position. She is responsible for planning for and teaching all the students in the school and does a fabulous job.

In addition to all that has been stated above, Danielle has been invaluable for on-the-spot trouble shooting when we teachers need support with software applications or other glitches. This is particularly valuable to a Title 1 school where most students do not have ongoing access to technology so teachers are running fullstop to teach instruction and technology simultaneously. The Google Gurus are important, but their current schedules do not support teacher access to them as a resource. Aligning a certified teacher schedule with the computer lab instruction would help resolve this "time" problem. And, as happened to SES, we were without gurus until Danielle acquired Level 1 certification through her own initiative.

As the SES School Counselor, I strongly advocate for a certified teacher in our technology classroom! Danielle has been an invaluable asset to our school this year; truly transforming technology education and support for our students and staff. As we move forward with instructional technology in our classrooms, with chromebook integration and google environments expanding, having a certified expert teacher on staff will become more and more essential for student achievement and staff development.

Danielle has been a fabulous asset to our school. This year we lost both our "google gurus" and she has stepped up! Her tech knowledge is greatly needed in our building. Danielle helped prepare our students with computer skills necessary for PARCC, has implemented not only a typing program but developed a worthwhile curriculum for our students, she works with enrichment students, assists teachers in classrooms helping students with academic needs and much more. She has supported SES in immeasurable ways. If QACPS is going "tech", we need tech experts! SES needs Danielle!
