KES (The VEC in Kerry) , who are the overall managers and financial controllers of Tech Amergin have implemented a cut-back in the working hours of the Centre Manager.The manager is now expected to manage the Centre on 12 hours per week.
Tech Amergin is a busy Centre; 844 people enrolled in courses in the Centre last year and a total of 6,732 attended events organised in the Centre.

To expect such a busy place to be run on a part-time basis is asking the impossible and will lead to running down the Centre and ultimately to its closure.
