Research and Development – Currently only lip service is being provided to this subject as it applies to Data Centers. Whilst other countries are exploring intelligent energy - environmental advantage systems such as sea water cooling, solar power systems, heat-to-power exchangers (G Rotor technology), self power supply generation and other conservation technologies there is no directly related program for such focus development in the Data Center industry in Hong Kong. If there is no focus on R&D, eventually the economic tide will turn against Hong Kong operations and other locations will prove more attractive both economically and politically as carbon emission budgets become stricter.

Is absurd not to have a technology branch of a grovernment in the 21th century. Given HK is one of the financial hub of Asia.
