I live in NC and I have just gone through a child abuse case for my son and his father. I would like more info on the things that NC offers me as a parent. I am not sure what u can offer me. I do know that I feel that the department that did their investigation did not do their job fully do to the fact of the old saying goes \"It is not what u know but WHO u know.\" That was brought to my attention several times by my child\'\'s father new in-laws. I felt that I was not going to get a proper investigation due to that statement. By know means am I implying that this department is corrupt. All I am saying is that it was brought to my attention if I reported my child\'s beating it would not be in my best interest and that it would be dropped. As I feel that the way you have things set up is a wonderful program BUT it should be in all counties in NC not just those hand selected few. I am trying to get a nonprofit organization started to help children that are or have been in my children\'s situation and abused emotionally or physical and sexually. I feel that someone needs to help our future generations stop feeling alone and to stand together for what we and that they believe in. I want to be the part of the breaking cycle of domestic abuse. I am not on of these people who like to start protests or fights. I am a citizen of North Carolina that don\'t think that these children are being treated fairly. To many child abuse cases are coming up on the state dockets and in the news and newspapers. To many innocence babies and children are dying when someone could have listened and stepped in to help. I want to help cut back on that pain and anger to get to the heart of the problem and reach out a helping hand. That will stop a lot of the domestic violence in the home that we all see so much in North Carolina. We need to implanted some kind of plan.
