The Grand Island tolls are an unfair tax on the people of Grand Island, the residents of Western New York, and the millions of visitors to our region every year. At minimum, overhead tolling needs to be implemented to remove this impediment to transportation. Congestion at the Grand Island bridges is a real problem for our region.

This is long over due. From may through June the south bridge is backed up every night! Either get rid of the archaic toll systems or update it! We have been talking about this for years, just get it done!!!!

bad for the air quality, terrible road back uo's, and wastes gas by causing auto and trucks to sit and idle.Brige has been paid for many times over. just another black eye for NY State.

The tolls need to be removed! The bridge has been paid for and the upkeep can come out of our taxes. I shouldn't have to pay to go back and forth to work every single day. Stop robbing the people who live here!

End the bottlenecks at the bridge. Stop the pollution from exhausts when you are waiting to get over the bridge. Make it easier and inviting to visit Grand Island and Niagara Falls.

I am tired of paying to come home when nobody else in the country has too as long as their a resident and the toll road is the only way home....which it is here. Repeal the Toll !!

If the funds stayed in our community I would say keep them up. However, GI residents should not have to pay. Our taxes are high enough!

I grew up in NF NY.
The tolls have paid for.the bridge time and time again.
The maintenance should be covered by state road allowance . No need for this till to continue

i AM TIRED OF GETTING CAUGHT IN THE TRAFFIC AT THESE TOLL BOOTHS . IT CAUSES MORE ACCIDENTS THAN ANYTHING.

after living on GRAND ISLAND for 17yrs I eventually moved off the island closer to work that the traffic was horrific, a normal 15 min ride home or to work would take me sometimes an hour or longer if there was an accident or weather problem. It wasn't worth living on the Island any longer.
paying to go home is just unreal. sure we get cheaper rates but it's costly in the long run

I pay this toll every day on may to and from work. The slowdown it causes is practically worse than paying the toll itself.

Enough. NYS and Thur way need to stop being so greedy. Do what the rest of us do cut back. Those tolls should have never been there in the first place
