Remove the tolls. The bridge is paid for why should we be paying this still.?

I had a job on Grand Island for almost 3 years. Paid a toll every day just to get to Whitehaven Road. It is time to end the financing of downstate interests to the detriment of Upstate users.

The tolls have been up for too long! Slowing traffic and draining tax payers.

I've lived on the Island for 27 years now. Everyday in the summer I can count on a 10-15 min delay getting home from work. I watch the trucks lumbering up the bridge, and at times drivers too timid to pass - killing capacity on the bridge and adding minutes to countless travelers and commuters. The losses in time must be immense. Has anyone quantified the cumulative toll to society?

Given that 50% of Grand Island is already a State Park, why do we need to pay for the privilege to enjoy it?

As a small business on Grand Island this is important to me. It will open up a more free flowing commerce that is currently limited by these toll barriers.

Enough is enough...long lines, air pollution-all unnecessary. It's time we were relieved of paying to live where we live.
