PETITION TO SUPPORT “TEAR”

We, the undersigned residents of Remsenburg/Speonk, The GReater Westhampton BEach Area, the Town of Southampton or other iinterested parties have reviewed the building design plans and subdivision application submitted by The Estates at Remsenburg, LLC (“TEAR”) for the development of the property formerly known as the "Webb Estate" in Remsenburg, and believe that the application submitted by TEAR addresses the interests of the residents of Remsenburg by preserving Remsenburg's inherent aesthetics, cultural history, bucolic community character, and the health, safety and welfare of the residents, and ask that the Southampton Town Planning Board use objective standards, empirical data and their collective professional experience in this matter, rather than relying upon the claims asserted by any ad hoc group that claims to represent the majority of the residents of Remsenburg in attempting to persuade the Planning Board to consider alternate, less attractive development options for the property.

Finally someone has a plan that respects the history of the area. It looks beautiful and much better than what is there now.

The town needs this. Its a vast improvement and honestly way better than just letting it sit and rot forever.

The Webb estate has been an eyesore for years. Let them build something nice that actually fits the neighborhood.
