I've never felt more threatened in my career than I do now. Something has to be done.

Tristram Hunt has confirmed his intentions to continue Gove's policy on PRP. He has been very quiet and unable to seriously challenge Gove at any level. I'm very disappointed with him. We someone tenacious like Andy Burnham to hold Gove to account. To be honest though, I don't think we will find that from the Labour Party.

Not a teacher, but a parent outraged at what Gove is doing to our schools.

After 5-6 years of constant changes in goal-posts - particularly in the EYs - I am exhausted. My son is going to be 5 when he takes the pointless phonics screening test. This is too young to be told you are failing. Our education system ought to be the best in the world; it shouldn't be returning to the Victorian era. Gove et al are a disgrace.

The job is no longer what I trained for, so I am now an ex teacher. However, I strongly support your petition and hope one day I may return to the profession.

Education needs to be driven by teachers who need to be valued for their knowledge and professionalism not constantly attacked.
