Every school year, the incoming class grows. The amount of parking spots for students does not increase. At this point, the parking availability on campus is exhausted, leaving students no choice but to park in illegal spaces or be extremely late to class. Creating another parking lot on campus for students, especially commuters, should be on the top of TCNJ's to do list.

It should be noted that faculty lots are often far from full, so designating one of these to students should be a super easy way to solve this problem.
I am a commuter, and I have extreme difficulty finding a parking spot. I have been late to class several times, even when arriving to campus 30 minutes early just to look for parking. I now leave myself an hour just to find parking because the lots are so bad.
I recently just graduated so this doesn’t affected me as much anymore BUT I do think for current students and future students parking needs to be increased. There’s literally not enough parking—I’ve had to park in campus town retail during events like Funival when I paid over $200 to park ON campus.
Something has to be done. I’ve been late countless times from circling the parking lot because guests are parked in the commuter lots before the visitor lot is full or residential students are parking in commuter only spots. At the very least improper decal ticketing should be monitored more closely. Commuters don’t have a dorm to come from, we need our parking spaces.
As a commuter I have first hand experience on this issue. We are forced to only a few lots and have to pay to park there. However a spot is not guaranteed. Nobody should have to be over an hour early to class just to get a parking space.
Yes! They really need to do something about this.
I live in campus town and park on the top floor of lot 7. When it is time for morning classes, I find it very hard to even find parking where I am supposed to be!!!! I would park somewhere else but they are very quick to ticket you!!!

I commute and last week I was 30 minutes late to class despite getting to campus 10 minutes early because the first 3 parking lots I tried were full and I had to park in the garage, on the opposite side of campus. This is really a huge problem at TCNJ and is interrupting the education I’m paying for.
