We all live in a society today where bullying has become almost an acceptable part of life. For those who are the victim their lives can at times be almost unbearable. We as parents of a bullied child respectfully ask that you sign our petition on behalf of our son. Due to onging bullying, he took his own life at age 15. He as well as many others in our community are victims of this alarmingly growing epidemic. Rather it is about sexuality, or that you are not "cool enough" and the people are chosen to be bullied because they are "special" weaker than the rest, even about there race, disabilities, social standing, right down to the type of shoes they wear. No one is standing up for what is happening or for what impact it has on those who fall victim to this abuse. Lets change this for today's children and the children of tomorrow. We have lost enough lives as it is . One life should be enough to prove there is something wrong. We ask that laws for bullying to carry stricter penalties to those who bully, as well as laws to ensure awareness of bullying, to where if bullying is witnessed and not reported you could be held accountable for this offence. Lets stand together as a community, and as a nation, and end this once and for all.
