We, the undersigned, request that rather than institute the 2010 proposed changes to the TBI Fund, the Division of Disability advocate for a $ .50 increase in the vehicle registration surcharge. The state of NJ has successfully assisted over 2,100 people to live better lives, by permitting them access to services they would otherwise not be able to afford via insurance or private means. Don't stop now. Traumatic Brain Injury and stroke result in similar long-term effects requiring long-term interventions and supports. New Jersey has led the way in helping to ameliorate the lives of such individuals. Cut backs would be unnecessary if New Jerseyans paid an additional $ .50 a year. We can't afford not to.
