My name is Bertha (White) Lotzer, I have a granddaughter whom was beaten at 14 months and was left handicapped. My granddaughter, who was born as a healthy baby, will no longer be able to eat, drink, talk, stand by herself or even enjoy life like you and I. For the second time, he nearly killed my granddaughter, if it were not for the ambulance driver whom revived her she would be dead. This guy named Jerrod Dorsey before trial not only threaten lives but was on heavy drugs. He beat my granddaughter in 2004 and this did not go to trial until 2006. He was only sentenced to 22 years and has only been in prison for two years and is coming up for review in November of 2008. I feel the time he got was not long enough and the mother was not convicted even though she had primary custody and allowed this to happen. I ask that you PLEASE sign this petition to keep him in there so that he will not be able to hurt any child or grandchild again. If they release this guy, then there is no justice for a 14 month baby nor justice for the family that was hurt by this. Taylor White will never live a normal life and she will always need care. She might not ever get better and she will never be whole again and for her sake I would like to keep Mr. Jerrod Dorsey behind bars.
