Mes, žemiau pasirašę lietuviai, patvirtiname, kad mums labai svarbu, jog Lietuvių Bendruomenė Leedse (LCL) turėtų galimybę artimiausiu metu įsikurti erdviose nepriklausomose patalpose, iš kur galėtų toliau sėkmingai organizuoti tokius šaunius renginius, apie kokius mums teko girdėti (arba patiems juose dalyvauti) bei toliau sėkmingai siekti savo užsibrėžtų tikslų.
Su surinktais parašais mes kreipsimės i Leedso savivaldybę prašydami skirti mums apleistą namą, kurį patys susitvarkysime, prižiūrėsime ir turėsim LCL bendruomenės namus.

We, the undersigned, confirm that, it is very important to us for
the Lithuanian Community in Leeds (LCL) to
settle down at independent, spacious premises in
the near future. Where the Community members could successfully continue
organising great events, which we have heard of
(or taken part in them ourselves)
and successfully continue
achieving their goals.
With the collected signatures LCL will appeal to the
Leeds City Council asking for an abandoned house,
that will be repaired, looked after and
LCL community home will be established.

The volume of support has reached a level that allows us to formally open discussions with the Leeds City Council property department. I am currently finalizing the petition dossier and mapping out a schedule for a meeting with local officials to present our proposal for the building transition.

I am Anglo-Irish, born Cheshire, spent most of my life in Ireland (U.K.Passport Holder). I know how important it is for an expatriate community to have a focal point. Journalist, spent 7 years with 'Irish Post', weekly national tabloid for Irish in Britain. Living in Dublin, with partner from Lithuania; intend spending half of my time in Kaunas, and same in Dublin.
