Petition to support the continued collection of the Toronto Adult Student Association (TASA) fee
By the Toronto District School Board
On May 5th 2010, the Toronto District School Board’s Trustee John Campbell will bring forth a motion at the Program and School Services committee meeting to eliminate the $7 per course fee that is collected by the Board on behalf of TASA.

We/I believe that the Toronto Adult Student Association provides a unique and valuable service to adult students and potential adult students within greater Toronto.

We/I believe that TASA advocates for sufficient, high quality, ongoing, accessible and affordable adult education within our community. We also believe that TASA provides the support and assistance that adult English as a Second Language, Literacy and Basic Skills and high school day credit students need to achieve their educational goals.

As we/I believe that TASA’s organizational activities contribute to the greater community good, we would like to request that the Toronto District School Board keep supporting TASA by continuing to collect the TASA membership fee on TASA’s behalf.
