Target Stores have been knowingly or unknowingly allowing consumers to resell their Hasbro Marvel Legends Target exclusive collectibles on EBay and other resell sites prior to release dates, and at scalping/price gouging levels. Target Stores & Hasbro Inc. should make it their corporate responsibility to prevent these actions from happening by putting limits on quantities purchased by consumers, and by making pre-orders available for at least 24 hours.
If you care about end customers/collectors - and to reduce buyers who intend to stockpile and resell at artificially inflated prices - then is it so difficult to (1) require certain pre-orders sign-in and (2) limit the 2 per order and address? Maybe Collectors need a better means to buy directly, without getting beat out by bots/proxies online or by market-exploiters IRL. Otherwise, when sellers drain inventories to artificially increase demand, what are collectors supposed to do, who can they turn to, if no one else can help, where is the A-Team?

I didn't want this set. But I've seen this happen one too many times. It's really annoying. I know most stores don't go the extra mile for its customers, but us collectors do appreciate the stores that do. Target is not one of them. Most of the figures I'm looking for are exclusive to Target. They always sell out on a secret product link that hasn't been publicly announced, then all the stores in my area never get any. Or the employees buy them all and sell them on ebay.

I agree! It is so unfair that these “Exclusive” figures are bought up by scalpers and then price jacked. These figures be made more easily available for the true fans. I’m a collector and just want one damn figure/set/2-pack for me!

Limit preorders to 1 per customer for the first week, they will still sell. This current business model screws the customer and creates hate, distrust, and ultimately apathy towards you.

Its b.s that companies release store exclusives instead of offering directly to customers. This kind of crap happens all too often and us collectors are left either not getting the item or having to pay these ridiculous prices
