This year was anything but normal. Kidś had a very hard time learning and retaining information with this whole virtual school setup. 3rd graders will take this test for the first time this year and feel like a failure if they don't pass. High and Middle scholars are at risk of losing scholarships if they make basic or below basic. Not only that but kids who are hard of understanding or need ESL assistants who are mostly virtual because their families feel for their safety at schools. Most virtual kids are distracted during school hours from being at home. In let's face it teachers are underpaid for all the hard stressful work they had to put in running two different types of classes for just one class. Do the right thing and sign our petition to not make state testing based on passing and failing but on statistics for teachers to better work with students next year choose to support growth.

We are struggling this school year to keep our grades up I'm not virtual I work hard and do what I need to do but still struggling to pass my classes and we lessons in a week we can not fully develop the lesson being taught in one week so I would rather please not have a test because we already have enough to deal with
I feel like it's way too early to take the test. And we have barely learned anything online.
I’m in 9th grade and I think State Testing should be canceled because of stress that students like me dill with because or COVID,work, and managing a life outside of school
I don’t think it’s fair that we have to test this year . It’s stressing and on top of that I don’t feel like I learned anything new .
Since school has started i haven't really learned anything how im supposed to and they still want me to take test like im goin to pass

This school year has been the most stressful school year ever. I can’t even begin to say how many breakdowns I’ve had because I didn’t understand anything I was learning. I’m pretty sure everyone’s sleep schedule is completely messed up. Mines is definitely messed up because I stay up until 2am trying to understand what I’m supposed to be learning. Before Covid I was able to keep up my grades and I always woke up on time. Now I’m failing my classes and waking up late almost every day. Some days I feel stupid because I don’t understand the lessons as much as I am supposed to. if I take this test, I’m 90% sure I’ll fail. It’s sad but it’s true. I’m constantly sad/stressed because of the thought of taking that test, knowing I’m nowhere near ready.
