Accessible access across the line is very important. Not everyone can easily climb and descend the steep stairs, even if the aren’t using a wheelchair- they shouldn’t be forced to wait.

We need a bridge which can be used by people with bikes, pushchairs and wheelchairs!

I used to climb these 101 steps to and from work every day. I don't know why the bridge is so high. The next bridge (over Barkham Road) is lower and all trains need to go under that one too. Am I mistaken?

As a Public Right of Way (PROW), surely Wokingham Council have a legal obligation to ensure Network Rail's plans are accessible? If not, they should!

This would be such a missed opportunity to improve transport around Wokingham for everyone.

Makes absolute sense to support cyclists and people with disabilities.

This bridge is a pain to use even if you are able bodied!

Any initiative to facilitate access to all should be welcomed and promoted

This would make a huge difference to people wanting to cycle into town from the south, being able to then avoid a busy stretch of Barkham Rd, the busy level crossing junction, and the busy Wellington road. The new bridge would allow cyclists quick and safe access to: - the new leisure centre, which is right by where it would cross - the town centre, as cyclists could cross over into Elms field after using the bridge, and use the cycle parking there. Not making the bridge cycle friendly (and wheelchair, buggy etc friendly) would be a huge missed opportunity to create a safe active travel route, which will be well used.

This is very much needed with a link route from Molly Millars Lane.
