I lost my best friend to psychotropic drugs that should have never been given to her in a first place. This is criminal!

Please agree to have dialogue with chronic pain patients and their doctors. You will learn the truth.

As someone who has chronic conditions including Fibromyalgia and Degenerative Scoliosis, I cannot take many of the medications that are prescribed for these conditions, such as Gabapentin, Lyrica and Cymbalta. The only thing that I have found so far that has helped me to live a somewhat normal life is an opiate pain reliever. If I did not have this medication my pain would be so severe I would not be able to get out of bed. What kind of life would that be, especially having a child and two other family members in my care.

Doctors need to stop writing prescriptions for every little thing. They know nothing about the drugs they are prescribing.

12 years ago I found that well-directed evidence-based non-pharmaceutical management of anxiety depression in General Practice was far more effective, and with none of the side effects and withdrawal difficulties, that were regular occurrences on SSRI treatment.

These meds are compromise lives

What a happy surprice! I have been working since 1993 nearly full time with that support in a patientorganistion, that is non-clinical. I have really seen that the health care has huge problems in working holistic and letting the patient have the full control. I support these guidlines and allways on my seminars speak for the starting of support survices outside healthcare.

The side effects from these prescription drugs has been known for a long time. Validation and support in withdrawing from these medications will save lives.

Prescribing these drugs long term is a scandal

Ive been through and currently going through my 2nd withdrawal of prescription medications SSRI drug and benzodiazepine there Is no help or safe guidance from a gp rehab and detox is private in my area at over £10k admission charge so much more needs to be done
