The devastating consequences of benzodiazepine and SSRI withdrawal has been recognised and actively suppressed for decades. #PrescribedHarm #PublicInquiry

My mom has suffered terribly because of benzodiazepines and not being able to get off of them, with each dose she takes feeling like poison.

Needed bafly. People are suffering misunderstood and getting harmed more because of ignorance and what amounts to severe neglect

Personally harmed by long term prescribing of benzodiazepine and antidepressants, no informed consent, and no help to taper or when seriously harmed.

Support much needed. For example - My GP stopped my prescription cold turkey after 27yrs & caused a completely life-changing seizure & stroke event in 2009. Medically abandoned since, I'm locked in an ongoing battle of incessant damage, just trying to survive.

I have been asking for this service for 5 years. If I had used a street drug, recovery options are available, because I am on a GP induced addiction pain medication, there is no support. 5 times I have tried to stop and my Drs approach is to simply reduce the medication without any support or assistance in dealing with the mental aspects of coming of a drug which I was told with assurance from the GP had no addictive aspects. Help us please

The pharm companies should take more responsibility and take the appropriate action on these so called non addictive drugs . Let's put them on them for 6 months and just stop them . Then we would soon see a difference when they find out exactly what they have done to society..

Thank you for this work, there is an alarming lack of support for those who have taken drugs as directed and then gone on to suffer terribly from adverse effects or withdrawal difficulties. In the absence of official recognition or support, we must take matters into our own hands. People need practical help and support.

I and 10,000s ppl need this service right now. Ppl are killing themselves because there is no help for prescribed drug withdrawal that can last years.

The UK government have deserted it's people in their hour of need, so the people have to campaign for the correct dedicated national withdrawal services, which are so urgently needed but shunned by government. This medical disaster has been going on for decades and totally ignored by our negligent NHS and government bodies. Shame on you Health Ministers and your Senior Advisors.

This is so desperately needed. A truly important initiative - inviting prescribers & patients to share respective experience in order to bring about collaborative mutual support, understanding & essential learning.
