Millions of Americans rely on the Internet for their day-to-day business but are forced to deal with poor customer service provided by telecommunication giants such as Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and Verizon. The Internet is teeming with complaints about incorrect billing, connectivity issues, and difficulties canceling service (try googling "cancel Comcast" to see what I am talking about). Americans are left at the mercy of these telecommunication giants who frequently have a monopolistic hold on a given area. These companies generally feel no need to improve their customer service. We want the US government to prevent the monopolization of the telecommunications industry to make sure that customers receive high-quality Internet service that one can expect to receive in America.
