If one or two people had personality issues with the GM, that would be one thing, but the entire staff feel bullied, intimidated and belittled by their direct superior and have no recourse with the BOD. That is a problem. TAKE BACK OUR CLUB. The passion and involvement displayed Monday evening from the members show that we love our the Rivi, with its "vintage" charm and want to continue to have this community in the future. The BOD must remove Bryan Avery from GM position, reinstate Ed and move forward ! As members, we must step up and participate in programs, volunteer to help make improvements, recruit families and friends to join as members, and make the club thrive.

We used to be longtime family members from the days when the club required both spouses to be interviewed and a Gentleman and Lady membership card was issued - its come a long way from then. Certainly Ed is a major part too. We left several years ago when the club was assessing members for emergency repair funds and debt repayment. I believe you should give Mr. Avery some credit - he's quite frankly kept the club from collapsing for the last few years. I used to work with one of the past BOD members and did some infrastructure assessments for the club. You need to rally for more drastic plans... redevelop the property; relocate the Rivi pool and facility to the River side of the lot and sell the more commercially viable section along the canal to fund the next 100 years of the program.
