why is it according to the US census Black or African American alone, percent, 2014 (a) 13.2% comit more then 50 percent of all the murders in the US according to the FBI.. And the whites do not riot? But one black kid dies and all the #blacklivesmatter p[eople want to cry omg look what happend? Black commit more black on black crime then any white person does do black.... Yes i know this about names of streets and stuff... But they are only names and part of our history...like it or not.... Did your momma's not tell you that names can never hurt you???? And no matter what happends you can not change the past....Plus who was alive then? o thats right none of you so it truely does not affect you...... And why you so against the south anyhow? Where did slaves come from? Thats right africa and they where owned bye other balck men who sold them to make money.. So Again why is the white man at fault or the south??? I think you need to go complain or cry to the people that orig sold your family memebers in africa.... http://www.scaruffi.com/politics/slavetra.html... look up the facts yourself... I am just sick of all these people that cry foul and jump on a band wagon just becuase it is the popular thing todo.....So one last thing of all the riots in the past few years how many where found that the black person shot was reallinocent?

This is a to call for ending official support for symbols of slavery in our cities. They pay tribute to systemic racism that enslaves and brutally oppresses people of color to this day.

I reckon Hollywood has a few people that have benefitted its community that we can pay homage to.

These symbols of entrenched racism have no place as street names, they need to be removed and replaced with positive figures we can be proud of in this city.

Supportive of the effort and of the removal of Nathan Bedford Forrest's name from a main street in the planned African American neighborhood of Liberia.
