I don't always have my phone on me when turning in assignments, phone batteries die, phones get lost all the time, and they can break.

2 factor sign in is not convenient at all, no one likes it. If you lose your phone (which could happen often) you can't sign in! What if your phone dies right before a huge assignment is due? It's ridiculous.

Couldn't even access Canvas on the first day of class because my teacher couldn't log-in on the computer!

My professor can't even use scholar because his phone doesn't get signal in the dungeon of McBryde. Terrible system.

Don't get why HokieSPA & Canvas need 2 steps to login, yet hell my BANK ACCOUNT with Wells Fargo only requires a password. Damn it Tech, just retreat & allow students to opt out from this mess.

You don't have to input a code EVERY SINGLE TIME. Once a day is all it takes if you don't close your browser. And we don't care if your account is broken in to, it's the fact that your hacked account can be a conduit other university systems that contain confidential information for thousands of people. This is life in the 21st century, people. Deal with it.

I'm not particularly worried about my account to scholar being hacked and I'm sure I could deal with it. We already change our passwords on a regular basis. The 2 factor authentication is a huge pain and is unnecessary in my opinion. I care more about actually being able to ACCESS my account when it's important than protecting it from a relatively small threat.
