Remember when we were kids..... we had Halloween Parades... Christmas Parties and Easter Break.. We also learned about Chanukah and Rosh Hashana. Eid al-Adha and Yom Kippur. We played with kids of all different religions and learned how to get along. Then suddenly... we weren't allowed to say these things in School... we weren't allowed to wish teachers a Merry Christmas...say Happy Halloween or even talk about the Easter Bunny... We got so "afraid" of offending people... afraid of offending people who came to America for a better life... Well guess what... they came here and instead of being worried offending them we should be embracing all cultures... loving and sharing our traditions. So I say we take back the holidays.. take back the traditions and teach the world that tolerance works on both ends of the spectrum.. SO HAPPY HALLOWEEN... MERRY CHRISTMAS... HAPPY EASTER... HAPPY CHANAKAN. CELEBRATE ROSH HASHANA, YOM KIPPUR AND EID AL ADHA... Celebrate our rich differences and teach our children that the differences in people is what makes the world interesting.
