Dear Mr. President & Members of the Managing Committee, As per the provisions of Section 100 of the Companies Act, 2013 and Article 51 of The Bombay Gymkhana, you are requested to convene an Extraordinary General Body Meeting (EGM) of the members. The object of this meeting is to put to vote the below stated resolution seeking to revoke the decision taken by you, at a meeting held on Jan 10th, 2017, to permit specified Service Members to apply for Permanent Membership.
RESOLVED THAT: The decision of the Managing Committee, taken at its meeting held on January 10th 2017, to offer Permanent Membership to those Service Members of an All India Service, not below the rank of Secretary to the State Government, who have completed 6 continuous years of Service Membership and have a clean, unblemished record during the entirety of their Service Membership, be and is hereby revoked.”
In the interim, you are also requested to CEASE and DESIST from issuing any notice for opening of any new category of Permanent Membership, until the conclusion of the aforementioned EGM.
