Australia needs mining to keep many people in jobs

Mining is necessary for metals and energy. We owe it to the developing countries to supply affordable power. Mining is also essential to produce alternatives as energy supplements. Lets not return to the caves by exploiting legal loopholes.

This country needs mining and these loopholes are driving investment and confidence away from our shores.

The scare campaigns these greenie activist groups run are beyond a joke and are rarely based on fact but still the media who are just as much to blame lap up all the BS just to create fear and boost their sales. When will the facts ever get printed

The amount of red tape and potential for environmental groups to derail any mining project within Australia has become an international joke. Other countries with stringent environmental laws still develop viable projects. Fix the loophole & stop funding these professional vandals.

I strongly urge the State and Federal Governments to take urgent action to enable the smooth and responsible passage of environmentally compliant and safe projects though the regulatory system. Currently the both governments appear to be inexplicably tied down by the green lobby who, if successful, will send Australia down the path of an agrarian society, winding us back decades. An alternative would be a tourist destination where we could become a society of bus drivers, bed changers and bell boys (or girls). The economy needs strong mining projects as do our skilled engineers and workers who have built this country to close to the top of first world economies on the back of the mining industry. See the light - support an industry which can build Australia. Legislate to ensure that worthy mining projects can pass through the system without the eternal frustration of the schemes of the green lobby.

If we want to maintain a high standard of living in this country, we need these large projects. The Greens have no answers on the subjects of alternative jobs and export revenue.

Too many activists assume that anyone that is "pro mining" is an uneducated, uncaring environmental vandal. Those involved in the mining industry know that this is not the case! Mining businesses are driven by people who are both competent and care for the environment and are working to give everyone a better life. Conscience and consultation - not ignorance and obstruction.

The environmental lobby will continue to lack credibility until they stop using the products made from the resources they are so keen to keep in the ground.

Unemployment in NQ has reached an unacceptable level. It is time for State and Federal polititions to stand as one and deliver The Adani Mine project. Show some Leadership now.

Look at both sides of the equation and take note on what has been accomplished in and around these mines since their development.

Mining is absolutely essential for Australia's Future, strong export industry equates to a strong Australian Economy and the supply of energy to emerging third world countries is some of the greatest humanitarian assistance we can give.

All industries and groups can work together when both sides value the other’s information.
