A year and a half ago we where looking to buy a home on that road, and these houses concerned me.Who knows what's infested these homes, and also the homes around it.

Larry, I agree wholeheartedly. The great news is, there are grants for this kind of clean up that our city is able to obtain. The unfortunate news is, the property owner is not willing to approve this demolition, by signing off on the work; which also releases them from all demo fees. Instead he/she insist on challenging the city and costing us in municipal lawyer fees.

I use to live on the corner of Richeson and Colmen and let me just say the end of Colmen St. Is disgusting and needs turns down. Those homes are not stable enough to support a family. You don't need nasty homes for the rats to live in and not serve a positive part to the community. By keeping them there you are inviting young children to explore and see what's in those homes and somethings tragic could happen to one of your residents. Be smart for once and spend the money or make whoever owns them knock those nasty things down.

I live right across the street from these homes on Coleman ave. They should have been taken out long before now.

Although I prefer saving buildings/houses, if they can not be renovated, then they should be torn down. It isn't fair to other property owners to have to live next to these dilapidated buildings, not to mention losing value of their own homes.

The old ZEBRA house really does need to come down to the ground and so does many others in this area
