It is estimated that over 9 million refugees have fled Syria since 2011. Most of these refugees take the treacherous journey to nearby European countries such as Turkey, Greece and Italy by boat. Imagine being on board this boat, having no idea where you are going just hoping you will survive. This would be a daunting experience for anyone, let alone the babies and children on board who have been separated from their parents. The civil war in Syria is raging and these innocent civilians have no choice but to flee.

We want to make the journey between Syria and other European countries much safer for these refugees. We propose that the Australian Government provides safe boats and drivers to ensure safe passage. We would like the government to schedule these boat trips out of Syria on a daily basis free of charge. Take a moment to think about all the babies and children on board these boats right now and what they are going though as we are safe in our wondeful homes, not having to worry if we will ever see our parents again or if we will be alive in 24 hours time.
