We the residents of Syosset would like to petition 'Town of Oyster Bay' to reinstate the 'Planting Tree Program'.
As a community we have the following shared concern:
Trees on sidewalks are not being replaced by healthy trees as the town has discontinued the 'Planting Trees Program'.
As a community we are coming together to petition the Town of Oysterbay to reinstate 'Planting Tree Program', and plant more trees and Make Syosset GREENER and CLEANER!

The surge in support for our greening initiative is clear proof that the community values our local landscape. This momentum provides a strong foundation as we prepare to present our request to the town officials.

At this point in time, taking every opportunity to plant a live tree is an opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. It’s not a choice but a responsibility.
I applaud this action. Especially when supervisor Saladino has sent over 19 mailers on the taxpayers dime already in August to our residents. He clearly has the money.
The tree replacement program was vital to the environment.
Please protect the beauty and environmental health of our neighborhood!
And some repaying would be nice too
Plant trees
We need trees to maintain the beauty of our neighborhoods.

As another person commented, this is our responsibility for the Earth and our posterity. I have been to several less expensive towns nearby on Long Island that are so much greener. Having very small children, it makes us think about moving so that our children live in a greener place where we get more (certainly more nature) for our money. Let’s replace our trees and take care of our home and children!
