As of this week new traffic signs have been erected on Renee Road and East Street. The new signs restrict a left turn off Berry Hill Road onto Renee Road. This change now prohibits any left turn until entering the Town of Syosset for all southbound Berry Hill Road traffic. The restrictions are not only during school hours but extend to 9 pm at night. These restrictions affect thousands of Syosset and surrounding residents. Residents of Renee Road (effectively 25 or so houses) have pushed for this change without regard to the serious negative impact to all the surrounding neighborhoods and residents. The traffic being funneled into town will make the already congested area impossible to navigate for commuters and Syosset residents alike.
