The most obvious thing about Sylvia is her respect for children and parents. She does not miss a beat and responds to children's (mis)behavior from a place of curiosity about what need they are expressing. She is cool, calm and collected while TOTALLY there! As a parent and a psycholgist and parent educator, I am impressed!

Sylvia and her staff are the absolute best. They have provided my son Santino with a fantastic and loving environment since day one. Accepted him for who he is, and encourage him to be excited for learning, music, sport, sciences, gardening, and the importance of practicing kindness to everyone. She communicates with me exactly as I would want about the details of Santino in preschool and his behavior. UOP is the best, and Sylvia is the reason!

Sylvia has created such a wonderful environment at University of Play. She embraced my son and his needs when others wouldn't. He felt loved and inspired at UOP. He's off to elementary school now, but holds a dear place in his heart for UOP. He still asks about returning. I am happy to know that my neice will be starting at UOP at the end of the month.

Sylvia can connect with children in a magical way. UOP is an articstic, carefree, playful enviroment without any air of pretensiousness. The children are the focus, and their ability to be who they are is the primary focus of the day. Sylvia makes the school fit the children and their needs, and the school is always evolving and changing. Sylvia never forces kids into the box, but lets the kids create their own box. We were sold when we saw the race track and pirate ship, and met Sylvia. The best parenting decision we made four years ago, and we are thankful for Sylvia every day.
