Sydney Paxton for Class Officer - Class 2027
Hello,
My name is Sydney Paxton, and I am excited to express my interest in serving as a class officer for the graduating class of 2027. I am a Biology major with double minors in Chemistry and Psychology. As a commuter student, I will also be continuing my education at Mount Union through the Graduate PA Program beginning in the Spring of 2027.
Throughout my time at Mount Union, I have been actively involved in several campus organizations. I have served as the student senate representative for the Commuter Student Association, Alpha Lambda Delta, and the Pre-PA Club, where I currently serve as a co-secretary. I have also worked as a chemistry lab assistant. Off campus, I work at my local YMCA in childwatch, I am a summer day camp counselor, and I am also a part of a catering company, experiences that have strengthened my communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
I believe I would be a strong representative for our class because I am committed to making a meaningful impact on our cohort and contributing to the future of Mount Union students. College has encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone, helping me grow from a more reserved student into someone confident in taking on leadership roles. As a commuter, I also hope to bring a valuable and often underrepresented perspective to the committee.
My last three years here at Mount Union have shaped me in profound ways. I have grown academically, personally, and professionally, and I believe every student deserves the same opportunity to discover who they truly are. Mount Union has taught me the importance of belonging, integrity, and excellence - values I carry with pride as I continue my journey here.
I truly appreciate your support and hope you will consider signing my petition. I would be honored to represent our class and help ensure that your voice and perspective are heard at Mount Union.
Thank you for your consideration.
