I have witnessed and also heard many many issues with Microsoft Teams from both faculty and students alike while completing online classes. Freezing, inability to create groups, slowing people’s internet, inability to find functionality: all of these are wasting our valuable academic time, and becoming an obstacle to our learning. Especially for those of us that are taking your online classes. I’m not sure the exact reason for the roll out to Microsoft Teams, but it’s implementation has been too sudden and I believe it’s issues go beyond just “a learning curve.” PLEASE bring back Zoom.

I spent the entire morning listening to fellow students struggle with yet another system crash during a lecture. It is frustrating to realize how much of our tuition is being spent on software that actively prevents us from learning. I am currently compiling all the reports I have received from you into a formal document to present to the administration.

Seeing so many of you echo my frustration with these constant technical hurdles proves that it is not just me struggling to keep up with lessons. Your stories confirm that this shift has turned our classrooms into a daily obstacle course rather than a space for learning.

I agree completely. Switching to Microsoft Teams has drastically reduced the quality of our online classes. We are spending our hard earned money and many are putting themselves in debt to further their education. As these are online classes, the best platform available should be used. Please allow the professors to return to using Zoom.

So much time was wasted trying to help each other figure out how on earth to share screen. This was for a clinical class and it was so frustrating.

While I understand that ZOOM has a financial impact on the university, the difficulties that Microsoft Teams have created for the students have been significant. With limited capabilities, we are not able to see all of our peers as they speak while in classes. We are not always able to see shared content from faculty. We are not able to change our names, which doesn't seem very inclusive. The university's mission is to support student learning, however this new Microsoft Teams is a barrier to our education. Classes, peer development, and our learning experiences are not well-supported with Teams. Please consider using ZOOM so that we can have the most optimal and intuitive learning experience. Teams has ruined my ability to participate in class. It loses audio and visual constantly, and tech support is no help.

Teams causes many more distractions and frustrations during class and we have missed out on valuable lecture time because of it's lag and limitations.

It’s horrible I hate it and it constantly freezes and glitches to where I have to log out and back in several times during class!
