Can't take the risk, although class sizes are below 250 people as their reason states, the school still holds a lot of people, such as the cafeterias

Although I was tested negative for COVID-19, I still opted for self-isolation (I missed 2 weeks of classes already). But how about those who did not realize being infected on the first days and still social close? BVC should make a wise decision for everyone's safety. At least close the campus for 2 weeks & do online classes temporarily. Health & life are better than grades. Just saying.

It’s important to take precautions know then to later face the adverse possible scenarios and many provinces are doing this. Students well being should be main priority right now.

Having traditional classes right now doesn’t help with the social-distancing practice since staff, instructors and students are not safe when interacting with many others in such a limited classroom area.

Our health is more important than being in class during this time.

The right thing to do is to move to off-campus, remote education. The World Health Organization, and both our provincial and federal governments are recommending this. You're the only post secondary institution who isn't??????

This is stupid to put students health at risk for classes when pretty well every other learning institute has done it.

Bow Valley College must move classes at the downtown campus online. The Chief Medical Officer of Alberta has advised that anyone who can work online should; Bow Valley is more than capable of moving classes online and there is no reason to continue putting students in danger. In addition to attending classes, the Bow Valley campus contains a library which provides a space for a large group to gather; against, against the Chief Medical Officer’s mandate. Due to Bow Valley’s downtown location, most students must take public transit to attend school. This again puts students in danger. Other post-secondary campuses in Calgary have closed down and are moving classes online. Bow Valley already operates many online classes and no technical development is needed to make this move. Many classes ran successfully online with no notice on Friday, proving that very little effort is required to make this change. Students with compromised immune systems should not have to choose between their safety or their education when other post secondary institutions are moving to online delivery. Please move classes online!

Why are all of the universities closing and not BVC?
