As our last attempt at a swimming pool for Burnham was 40 years ago we don't want to wait another 40 years so sign up and show your support more information at http://tomfairhall.co.uk/swimming-pool/
Burnham is a great place with lots to do, including the only cinema in the Dengie and Maldon district. At the moment the only choices for swimming are Maldon, South Woodham and Chelmsford which are all quite a distance and impossible to get to if you have no transport.
It would be amazing to add a swimming pool to Burnham, not just for the residents and surrounding villages but also to boost tourism and job opportunities..

It's unbelievable that a town the size of Burnham has no swimming pool. Swimming is a great exercise that can be enjoyed by all ages and ability levels and it's benefits on health are well documented. For a waterside town it's a case of water, water everywhere but not a drop to swim in! Build a pool and quick!

I think a swimming pool would be fantastic in burnham but we have got the pool at bcps that at present I use to take my son swimming maybe the council can pay to improve the pool there and fund that instead that way the school and community benefit the classes the pool run now are maknly for children but im sure if the facilities were better there and it offered more like Southminster school does the it could be a win win situation.
