I’m tired of going all the way from Fayetteville to Springdale to back to Fayetteville just so we can drop my brother off to swim. It’s exhausting.

I was so delighted to hear that the Park and Rec Advisory Board came out in favor of a major aquatic facility for our fair city. It would be such a fantastic book to our citizens. Fits our need to encourage activity for wellness, could be done in a way to encourage multi-generational activities and events, would be great for seniors in particular who may not wish to play sports like basketball and tennis but can handle swimming. It's just a win all around. Of course, all of our children need to know how to swim well for safety reasons. But swimming is one of the greatest pleasures in life and I dream of the day when every single child has the chance to experience that free of fear of the water. So hoping this will go through.

Our city needs a stronger force of swimmers and divers. Fayetteville would do well to put in an aquatics center for the benefit of the high school teams, and perhaps even programs for Jr. High would-be swimmers to get into the sport before joining the ranks of the team.

We need a Natatorium!! This is a vote For an indoor pool and facility! We are losing potential swimmers in Fayetteville to other programs. Fayetteville needs to step up and take the plunge!
