I grew up in this community with a place to learn to swim in the winter time which grew into a place to develop as a competitive swimmer. It Sad that my children do not have the same opportunity.

Fayetteville Parks and Recreation is extremely behind in supporting aquatics. Over the past 5 years, aquatics facilities have opened in Batesville, Benton, Bentonville, Ozark, Pocahontas, Russellville, and Searcy.

As a Fayetteville resident and mother of two young children we would greatly benefit from an indoor swim facility so we can make gains in learning to swim year round instead of just in the summer time.

Our city needs a stronger force of swimmers and divers. Fayetteville would do well to put in an aquatics center for the benefit of the high school teams, and perhaps even programs for Jr. High would-be swimmers to get into the sport before joining the ranks of the team.

I use a pool for knee and arthritis therapy. I can’t tell you the difference this has made. We need an aquatic center to make aquatic play and exercise available for all our community.

An indoor aquatic facility in Fayetteville would do wonders at meeting the recreational and competitive needs of our residents and community. We need this facility to be added to the parks list for the upcoming Bond Issue

Fayetteville should be seeking growth opportunities, and continue to provide it's residents with new businesses in the community.
