Crime in our locality is ever on the increase, vandalism, breaking into cars, even pets being hurt. This is a situation which cannot go on - Swieqi has become a hub for these activities and a stronger police presence is required and indeed deserved! Not only for the residents but even for those people who come to Swieqi before going out to St Julains and Paceville. Even simple parking infractions and traffic laws being observed is becoming a joke, this has a negative effect on the investment into property made by the residents while being a threat to the people living or visiting the locality. What is it going to take to get the government to finally listen!!

I live in Triq Is-Sidra, and all year round there are always loads of students and other Paceville goers that at odd hours of the night make loads of noise and disturb anyone in the area. They sing/ yell, litter, damage property, vomit, and even urinate on cars and doors steps. It is just ridiculous that just because of the proximity to Paceville and the guest houses in the area that people (Maltese and foreign alike) can be allowed to behave in such away, especially in a residential area. Something needs to be done to control this huge problem.

Students and Paceville goers are dirtying and damaging property all over the area, and they are all on holiday, but us locals cannot sleep, we cannot have a break at any point in the year. Swieqi is a free parking lot, and a haven for theft and damaging cars

Definitely needed, I have been living in swieqi for only a year and have been robbed, another attempted robbery and someone also crashed into my car and drive off during the night.
