Open our schools and extra curricular activities back up. Follow the facts not the hype. Many states have resumed in person school and high school athletics, band, drama, etc for months now and have proven to not have an increase in COVID numbers. The Mental and emotion toll on our children far outweigh the potential for catching COVID.

This is so sad that this district is being bullied by unions to stay closed. Open our schools and let the kids play sports like our north and East county neighbors and states like Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc where students have been back in school and playing high school sports since September with no sign of increased COVID outbreaks. Follow the facts, not the Hype.

Parks are open, malls, stores, bars and restaurants are all open. For most kids it’s their senior year just let these kids play and enjoy the game and passion they have for the game.

Sports need to be back for the health and sanity of our kids. And some of these kids have been working on their sports since they were 5 and 6 and are missing out on what may be their last year of their sport or a well deserved scholarship opportunity. If you can’t give them this you need to go too.

So let me get this straight.... Casinos can open here in California and Las Vegas? Other states are already starting their regular season but here in California we cant play sports oh yes you can just not If you attend a school in the Sweetwater School district? Wow seems fair! Or just an easy way out?! You guys are horrible you all should be ashamed for letting this happen to our youth! SUHSD is a JOKE!

Please let them play. This is my son's senior year, and he has been working hard day after day to keep up his stamina and skills during COVID-19 waiting to play football. He's been playing football for eleven years since he was six years old. Please allow our students to play sports as other districts allow their students to play. If other districts' guidelines are working, then we should follow those same guidelines.
