A Saturday opening without changing the "first come, first served" policy is bad for:
-- anyone who observes the Jewish sabbath
-- anyone with pre-existing family or other obligations that are intentionally scheduled to avoid the work week
-- any venue that relies on an accounting service that isn't available weekends
On top of which, announcing a Saturday opening on Thursday night provides only one business day to read dozens of pages of revised materials to see what has changed and to pull new data if needed.

So much for 'advanced' notice on the reopening.

This is unacceptable. Less than 24 hours notice - I have a very special family event. You are forcing me to choose between family and my livelihood. This is unacceptable for so many reason. Move this to Monday please.

The fact that the SBA would open up this portal on a NON-business day is absurd! As if we aren't already being thrown to the wolves, let's open this on a day when we will have zero professional help. PLEASE move this to Monday!!

A guy is working at the circus knee-deep shoveling elephant dung around closing time. A second guy is just leaving the show, sees the first guy and walks up to him and says “It’s midnight and everyone is leaving and you’re knee deep in elephant dung. Why don’t you get some other kind of job?” and the first guy says “What, and quit show business?”

Months to prepare, day of is a failure. I believe a weeks notice should be implemented to reassign resources and personnel. 48 hours notice and forcing personnel across the United States to work the weekend because of your failure... unbelievable and unacceptable.

Announcing the reopening date of Saturday for the SVOG portal on Thursday, with no additional guidance published at the time of announcement, is simply irresponsible. Disrespectful to peoples time, and ignores the human element of those feeling the worst economic effects that this very grant is supposed to address! MOVE IT TO MONDAY PLEASE

Please move to a weekday. And yes, a little more than 24 hours notice would have been less stressful. We are all doing the best we can and this process and now timeline has added stress. We all want to submit our information accurately and rushing is going to hurt everybody.

The SBA needs to move the reopening of the portal to a weekday!
I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for SVOG funds to support the organization that I manage, but doing so is not my only professional or personal obligation. So a sudden Saturday re-launch and the drop of a new 50-page application guide with less than 24 hours notice is disastrous. This rollout has not been equitable or reasonable.

Unfortunate that you have not considered people who respect the sabbath.
