We're sure you were shocked as we were when the SBA announced late last night that they are reopening the SVOG application tomorrow - on a Saturday!

The SBA has been preaching that they want to give fair and equitable access to ALL applications. Well, we're calling bullshit on bullshit.

By launching the application portal on Saturday, there are many venue operators and promoters that are unable to apply including:

• Sabbath observers
• Other religious groups that consider Saturday a holy day
• Parents that cannot find day-care for their children on last minutes notice
• Applicants that cannot pay overtime to staff to come in on Saturday
• Applicants that have previously scheduled commitments they cannot change on a days notice

This decision by the SBA also does a disservice to the hard-working employees who have been busting their ass the past 13 months to help small businesses get the funds they need in order to stay afloat during the pandemic.

We are pleading to the SBA to please reconsider this decision and move the launch date to Monday in order to give equitable access to all applicants.
